Dr. Raymond Kimsey is a native of Florida with a dental degree from the University of Florida. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he was selected for a hospital-based residency, focusing on the treatment of patients with advanced needs.
During residency, Dr. Kimsey had extensive training in anesthesia, oral surgery, and pediatrics. And after residency, he remained active in the education of the hospital residents in the management of apprehensive patients.
For over 25 years, Dr. Kimsey’s office in Coral Gables, FL has been the referral source for countless dentists when they cannot treat patients properly due to their sensitivity.
Having had extensive experience at Miami Children's and Jackson Memorial hospitals, Dr. Kimsey offers premier service in sedation dentistry. His office is equipped to administer IV sedation, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and orally-administered sedatives. However, Dr. Kimsey does not push any single form of anesthesia and allows the patient to guide him in the selection.
Dr. Kimsey is also dedicated to philanthropy. He participates in annual trips to the Dominican Republic, where he treats the impoverished while educating University of Florida medical students.
Lastly, Dr. Kimsey is dedicated to providing the best possible dental care for those in need of sedation dentistry and continuing his own education. This includes taking additional measure to evaluate the level of anesthesia administered prior to treatment, as well as his development of specialized surgical instruments for bone grafting, implant placement, and restorative dentistry.
